Swim lessons are offered each year for ages 4 and older. The cost of these lessons is $50 for 4
lessons. Each group will have at least 2 lifeguards as teachers, and the nonswimmer classes have 3 lifeguards with a limit
of 6 children. Stroke lesson groups may have 8 in the groups. The lifeguards do a great job with the lessons. Parents must
remain outside the lesson area during class. If your child has trouble separating from you, we suggest that you wait a year
before trying lessons. Children, who can easily put their face in and hold their breath, will most likely learn to swim. If
not, it is more likely we will work on overcoming that fear during lessons. Stroke lessons focus on teaching and perfecting
swim strokes, as well as other water safety skills.
Lesson Dates will be determined after the pool opens. We like
to wait and see how quickly the water warms up to make it a positive experience for your child. This usually occurs in the
last 2 weeks of June. Lessons are at 8:00am and last for 45 minutes.
Lessons will begin in early June 2012
and will be given on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Sign ups will be at the front desk.
